IAGA, welcoming the great success and superb organisation of its 8th Scientific Assembly at Uppsala, and recognising the enormous amount of work required to organise such a meeting, expresses its deep gratitude to the Local Organisers for their tireless efforts to make the Assembly such an outstanding success.
